2015 - 2018 Grants Awarded

Since its’ beginning in 2008, Benton Telecommunications Foundation
has provided resources of $878,343 into the greater Benton Telecommunications Company service area. Funding has been given to local organizations and agencies supporting the foundations’ mission to foster human development by enhancing the work of those devoted to exemplary service. The breakdown is as follows:

2018: $203,576 granted to serve 37 projects.

2017: $238,710 granted to serve 42 projects.

2016: $138,876 granted to serve 33 projects.

2015: $345,679 granted to serve 32 projects.

American Cancer Society - Benton County Relay for Life - $20,000

Purpose: Research, Education and Advocacy

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Great Strides - $20,000

Purpose: Care centers, research & drug development

Kody Snograss Foundation 832 K-9 Dogs - $19,000

Purpose: Transport and train 2 bloodhounds for assistance

American Red Cross - $5,000

Purpose: Emergency Response Vehicle

Trinity Lutheran Church - Milaca Snack Pks - $1,000

Purpose: Purchase food for the Milaca snack pack program

Terebinth Refuge - $10,000

Purpose: Curriculum, education & programs for women

Employment Enterprises Inc. - $15,000

Purpose: 20 tablets to track time as required by the state

MN Telecom Alliance Foundation - $25,000

Purpose: Purchase incident response vehicle

Little Rock Lake Association - $10,000

Purpose: Vegetation for lake cleanup - 25% contribution required

WACOSA - $16,626

Purpose: Expand 3 doorways to make handicap accessible

Lutheran Social Services (St. Cloud Area Nursery)- $10,000

Purpose: Enlist childcare providers to help in times of emergency

Nexus-Mille Lacs Academy - $5,500

Purpose: Automatic belay system for rock climbing wall

Light the Legacy - $5,000

Purpose: Provide resources to families about end of life care

Junior Achievement of Upper Midwest - $10,000

Purpose: Expand the Junior Achievement program in Sauk Rapids - Rice Schools
